Also, please contact Amy Hagenhoff if you would like to help plan the Field Day event. Graduation checklists were sent home last week to 7th grade parents. 7th grade parents, please coordinate among yourselves on who will oversee each item on the list. Thanks so much to Missy Beck and Pam Groose, parents of 6th graders, for offering to help host that evening!

SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF – Our Lady of the Snows School is very blessed to have such devoted, hard-working, and experienced staff members who have dedicated their careers to the children and families of Our Lady of the Snows community.  We will spotlight a different staff member in the bulletin each week.   This week's spotlight is on Carla Morris, our Cafeteria Manager.  "Hi, my name is Carla Morris! Mary's Home is where I was born and raised.  I grew up in a family of five that included my parents, my brother and sister who are still members of the Our Lady of the Snows parish.  My husband and I were married here and raised our family in this wonderful place.  I have six wonderful children who all graduated from Our Lady of the Snows School.  Because of their differences in ages, I was an Our Lady of the Snows School parent for 27 continuous years!  What great memories!  I am also blessed with nine awesome grandchildren.  I walked to school to attend Our Lady of the Snows School from 1st-8th grade.  I then attended Cole R-V in Eugene.  For the majority of my life I was a stay at home Mom.  When my last child started school, I came to work at my dream job-Our Lady of the Snows School!  I have worked here for 19 years now!  When I am not working, I like to spend time with family and friends and to spend time outdoors. Cooking is a passion of mine and so is reading!  I choose to work at Our Lady of the Snows because of the children.  Hands down we work with the best kids on the planet!  There is something so special about working in this school.  It is such a family, and everything is centered around Christ and His teachings.  What more could you ask?  My favorite thing about working here is EVERYTHING!  I have been blessed to work here!  I have always said that Our Lady of the Snows is not just a building, it is a living breathing entity!  It truly is the heart of this community!"

THANK YOU! Thank you to Jeremy Schulte and Darryl Love for installing the new cell phone booster for our campus! Thank you to Sarah Adrian and her art students for the lovely Lenten artwork in the Church windows! Thank you to Andy Beck of Prodezigns for granting us the rights to his artwork for the Our Lady of the Snows yard signs, school t-shirts, and picnic promotion, as well as other ideas we may have for its use!

CONGRATULATIONS to members of Our Lady of the Snows staff who recently received service pins for their years of dedication and commitment to Catholic education in our diocese:  Roxanne Schulte (+5), Pam Groose, Darryl Love, Carla Morris, Josh Vandike, & Marianna Werdehausen (+15 years), and Rosie Beck (20 years)!

CONGRATULATIONS to our newly trained and retrained parish servers:  Shane Beck, Anna Berry, Jacob Bittle, Austin Doerhoff, Madelyn Doerhoff, Brena Groose, Romie Groose, Alex Hagenhoff, Oliver Hagenhoff, Carina McKenna, Lane McKenna, Ryan Russell, Nicholas Vandike, Alayna & Avery Wood!  Thank you to Deacon Zuck for providing this important training for our parish!

BE KIND! Ms. Dala Hemeyer of Catholic Charities has started a six week anti-bullying & kindness pilot program with our Our Lady of the Snows School Grades 5-8 students in which they will be led through a curriculum and service project that promotes the practice of kindness and empathy as well as how to exercise growth mindset.  The goal is to give students practical skills they can use to battle challenges, both big and small, that they will encounter day to day and throughout their lives! The 3rd & 4th grade students are helping our staff to “spy” for the various acts of kindness being practiced by the older students and to report their observations back to Dala each week. We are so encouraged by this opportunity!

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR for the afternoon of Friday, April 22, as we are planning a fun reunion for all former staff members of OLOSS. All parents and community members are invited to attend. There will be light refreshments available.

YOUR CHANCE TO WIN DRESS DOWN PASSES! All families returning their 21-22 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family.  Congratulations to Lane & Colton M. for winning this week.

APRIL: Our April morning prayer is The Act of Contrition, and our March Christskill is Forgiveness.

Please return your folder on Monday.

Have a wonderful Spring weekend!
