OLOS is moving away from paper copies of reports cards and billings. If you do not have internet access, you are always welcome to use our lab computers to check in on your family module. If you absolutely have no other access, and cannot make it to school, we will provide, at your request, a paper copy of grades. We are sending home a signature slip to ensure that you have looked at your child’s grades over the weekend. Students in grades K-2 will receive a paper copy today. Please return these signed reports back to the classroom teacher. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact the classroom teacher.

NO SCHOOL this Monday, September 26th, due to Teacher Institute.

When sending in lunch checks (if you have more than more than one child in school), please specify the amount you would like credited to EACH child’s account.

You will notice (above) that we will have one day of Achievement testing next week – on Wednesday. This is due to the fact that we have a short week that first week of October. We will test on Sept. 28th, then Oct. 3, 4, 5 & 6, with make-up tests on Oct. 10 & 11. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast during these testing days.  We are in need of two volunteer readers for students in the 7th and 8th grades on any or all of these mornings. Also needed: volunteer to bubble in tests (name, birth date, etc), which can be done in any free time before the actual testing dates. Please call the school office with your offer to help. Also mention this opportunity to grandparents and family members – is not hard and may really enjoy it!

August Lunch Billing has been posted online to the family module. When you access the HOMEPAGE of your online account, you will immediately notice a “Billing Balance”. This is the total amount owed or credited to all accounts – this is not just the lunch account. To find out the details about each account click on the “Office” tab, select “Billing”. From there you can sort accounts by child, month, or view all accounts at once. This may seem a little confusing at first, but please take time to familiarize yourself with these accounts and if you have any questions, please call. There will be NO PAPER BILLING for lunch, unless the account falls into arrears. If you don’t have internet access, you can always send a note or call to inquire about your lunch balance (and any other balance, excluding van & school support/tithing payments). Remember – all checks must still be made to individual accounts. For example, you may not pay sports fees and lunches with the same check. Thanks!

If you ever have any small items left from prizes from picnics, Happy Meals, or birthday parties that you don’t need, please send them in for Mrs. Massman’s preschool treasure box. Thanks!

CHEER COACH NEEDED: Would you consider sharing of your time and talent to coach the cheer team this year? If you are willing, please contact someone in the office. Thanks!

REPORTERS NEEDED! Would you consider being the parent reporter to update the Friday Notes on volleyball scores and highlights of games? You can email weekly info to rosie@radiowire.net (by 10:00 am Thursdays, please). Let us know if you are willing! Thanks!

Please look this information over and pray over this wonderful opportunity to uphold all rights to life. We are now asking that these forms be turned in by September 28th. The cost depends on the number of students going. Financial help may be available to the students so please just attach a deposit of $50 to the form.

We will also be having the Rada cutlery and That’s My Pan fundraisers this year, with kickoff on November 4th. Thanks for all your help!

Thanks to all for your support of OLOS Parish and School!

Have a fantastic three and a half day weekend, students! God bless us all and remember to pray for the success and for good weather for our PARISH PICNIC! See you all there!
