SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY REMINDER:  You may only dress down if you wear the official school spirit shirt on these designated days. All length requirements are still in force. Spirit Day is Thursday, Dec. 18, in conjunction with the JV girls’ home games.

SERVERS: If your child is interested in serving Mass, and is nervous or unsure, we can schedule them to serve for the weekday all school Mass, which is a good time to learn. Please contact Mrs. Werdehausen if your child would like to take this opportunity.

CLARIFICATION ON SNOW DAY CANCELLATIONS:  We are following Eugene snow day cancellation this year. But, OLOS School families will still get parent alerts and cancellations will still be posted on the three local TV stations – Channels 8, 13 & 17.  Additionally, there may be times when we have to cancel school when Cole R-V does not because of parking lot conditions.  If you, or someone you know, would be willing to clear snow from the lots to help alleviate this problem, please contact Mrs. Werdehausen.

EXTENDED CARE SERVICES: In the event of inclement weather, or early dismissal due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be NO EXTENDED CARE SERVICES available. All students should be picked up at the dismissal time which would be announced with the dismissal notification. On regularly scheduled half days off (listed on school calendar), extended care is available from 12:00 – 5:30 pm.
OUTDOOR CLASSROOM: Still needed:  wind sock, concrete statuary, and a sundial. If you would like to donate, please send to the office.

LUNCH NOTICE: For students purchasing daily lunches: Students may choose a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in lieu of the main entrée if they have a note from home. They must bring a note on the day that the substitution is desired and must present it to the classroom teacher first thing in the morning. Please note that the “main entrée” is the protein item. For example, if our meal is vegetable soup with grilled cheese & string cheese, the substitution would be for the cheese sandwich & string cheese, not for the vegetable soup.

SPORTS UPDATE: The 4/6 grades boys lost a close game to St. Stan. last Saturday, and the JV boys and girls both lost their home games last week. SHILOH DANCE: Please find enclosed the flyer to post. Try to get the word out because this has the potential to be a huge fundraiser, with not too much work. PLEASE NOTE – THIS DANCE IS OPEN TO ONLY THOSE 21 AND OVER.
