MORE CHANGES TO CALENDAR: There will be NO SCHOOL on March 21 due to Diocesan Professional Development, but we WILL be in session on Friday, March 25th. The diocese has given two additional days at Easter, which are not required to be made up. Therefore, there will be NO SCHOOL from Holy Thursday, April 14 through Wednesday, April 20th, with the 19th & the 20th being possible snow make-up days. Additionally, on March 10th, school will NOT be in session, due to professional development. The make-up date for this will be announced soon.

OLOS HOSTING HOME GAMES: Volunteers are needed on Thurs., Feb. 17 and Sat., Feb. 19, to help our Athletic Committee in its hosting duties for the parochial league's basketball games.  Please contact Rosie Beck in the school office, our Athlete Director Derrick Pringer, or our basketball coaches Amy Hagenhoff & Jason Bittle if you are able to help!  Thank you for your consideration!

WATER NEEDED: If you would like to donate cases of water, it would be very much appreciated. We are handing out A LOT of water, over 6 cases since Christmas. Students are asked to bring their own filled water bottle to school each day, but as the year has passed, many are forgetting. Please help out in one of two ways – make sure your child brings their filled bottle each day or donate a case of water. Thank you!

SIGN UP FOR GERBES COMMUNITY REWARDS:  OLOS is enrolled in the Gerbes “Community Rewards” program. This program offers money back to our school, based on enrolled customer’s spending. It is a really easy process. You just tie your Gerbes shopper’s card to our school account. If you don’t have a Gerbes shopper’s card, it takes less than a minute to get one at the store and also online. All the information needed to complete this process is online. @ www.gerbes.com/communityrewards. Our school code is TU152. It takes just a couple minutes so get all your family and friends to register as well! The school will receive quarterly payments in cash form. We will update you as we receive those funds. This has the potential to be a great moneymaker for the school – the key is to get many, many people involved. No selling needed! Please pass the word to family and friends and thanks for supporting OLOS School!!! We recently received $38.76, this quarter earnings

TRACK UPDATE: We have several students who are interested in participating in track this spring. However, we are in need of a track coach. Please contact Mrs. Burgess.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR for the afternoon of Friday, April 22, as we are planning a fun reunion for all former staff members of OLOSS.

FEBRUARY: Our February morning prayer is The Act of Love, and our February Christskill is Honesty.

YOUR CHANCE TO WIN DRESS DOWN PASSES! All families returning their 21-22 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family.  Congratulations to Clarice Whittle, for winning the passes this week.

SUBS NEEDED! We are in great need of subs for both the classrooms and in the kitchen. Please contact Mrs. Burgess if you, or someone you know, might be interested.

SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF – Our Lady of the Snows School is very blessed to have such devoted, hard-working, and experienced staff members who have dedicated their careers to the children and families of Our Lady of the Snows community.  We will spotlight a different staff member in the bulletin each week. This week's spotlight is on Rebekah Kempker, our part-time parish assistant.  "Hi, my name is Rebekah Kempker.  I was born and raised in Jefferson City.  I live with my parents and younger brother.  I am engaged and am very excited for our upcoming wedding!  I am currently finishing up my schooling at Moberly Area Community College to become an Occupational Therapist Assistant.  Over the years I have owned my own business makng handcrafted items, have worked at a native plant nursery, at a daycare, at the Parks & Rec, and now I am the assistant secretary at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.  I also own my own business through Mary Kay cosmetics.  I have been at Our Lady of the Snows now for about three months and enjoy it very much.  When I am not working, I like to hunt, fish, crochet, spend time outdoors, work on my own business, and spend time with my family.  I chose to work at Our Lady of the Snows to be able to help and give back to the Church and the people and the community.  My favorite thing about working at Our Lady of the Snows is the environment with its small town fee.  Mary's Home truly feels like home!"

Please return your folder on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend
