COOKBOOKS:  Our Lady of Snows School is still selling cookbooks.  We are currently out, but are planning on reordering.  We would like to get an idea of how many to reorder.  If you are interested please contact Kim Evers at 498-3361 or the school at 498-3574 to let them know you would like to have one reserved.  We would like to hear from you by April 1st.  The cookbooks are $15.00 each.

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Snow Make up Days have once again been revised, due to the snow day last Monday. School will be in session until Friday, May 20th. We will also be in session ALL day on Wed., April 20th & we will be in session ½ day on Holy Thursday, April 21st. WE WILL BE IN SESSION THE MONDAY & TUESDAY AFTER EASTER, April 25th & April 26th.

Stations of the Cross – each Friday during Lent at 2:15 pm. School children may be dismissed from church after the Stations if they bring a note that day (this allows teachers to know that the student should bring his/her book bag to church). Otherwise, students will be dismissed from the gym at 3:00 pm, as usual.

6th grade parents: Information for 6th grade Vocation Day was sent in last week’s folder. We must have these turned in soon to the diocese. Please go over the material with your 6th grader and help him/her choose their preferences on the “Talk” and “Game” options and return ASAP. PLEASE ATTACH $5 TO THIS FORM, with checks made payable to OLOS School. We are still missing a few…

READING COUNTS FIELD TRIP NEWS:  The Reading Counts Field Trip will be on Monday, May 9th (this is a state holiday). Grades PK – 2nd will be going to Miner Mikes at Osage Beach (maze only) from 9-11 am. The 3-8 grades will be going to Lazer Force, at Lake Ozarks, from 9:30-11:00 am. Each student will get to play two games (20 minutes each) in groups of 24. Arcade games will be available at Lazer Force, but the student will need to bring extra spending money if they play these games. Lunch will be at a local park. Then all the students will enjoy an afternoon movie at the Lodge of the Four Season (from 12:30 – 2:30), with popcorn & soda included in the price. We should be back to school by 3:15-3:30 pm. There will be a fee for each child to attend ($8-10 range?). We will keep you updated as plans are finalized.

CALLING ALL GREEN THUMBS AND WILLING WORKERS:  We need to form a gardening committee again. It would be nice to have one night planned to get bushes cut back & everything tidied up for Spring and then form a weekly rotation, as we did last year, to keep weeds in check and do the watering. Contact the school office if you would be able to help out. Thanks to Rex & Jeanne Buechter for volunteering.

Preschool Parents: Please note that preschool graduation will be on Saturday, May 21st at the 5:00 pm Mass.

Mrs. Groose is selling BEEF STICKS at lunchtime. They are $1 each.

LOOKING AHEAD…We will host our BOOKFAIR NIGHT – “A Night of Magic” – on Thursday, March 24th. We will have a magician performing that evening and many other exciting things. A BOOKFAIR BREAKFAST is also planned for Sunday, March 20th. Mark your calendars now & make plans to attend and support these exciting school events!
