LAST DAY OF SCHOOL PLANS: OLOS School will be in session through Thursday, May 13, 2021.  On the last day we will have Mass at 8:00 am, with Awards & Preschool graduation following in church. All school parents & community members are welcome to attend! After awards, we will enjoy a Field Day, with dismissal at 3:15. Thanks to all who have volunteered to help out; we will be placing you where help is most needed. Students will wear school spirit shirts for Mass & then change into clothes that can get wet – T-shirts, athletic shorts suggested (not swim suits) please bring a BEACH TOWEL/BIG TOWEL to dry off with after the water sports. 8th graders please come back & participate!

WE ARE GOING TO MISS HER! We will be having a going away party for Mrs. Miranda on Thursday, May 6th at 2:30 pm, in the cafeteria. Please take this opportunity to show your gratitude to Mrs. Miranda by having your students make cards and/or send in a gift of gratitude. Mrs. Miranda has served in the PK teacher position for four years, and she will be missed! We wish her well! All parents are welcome to attend the party with use of masks and temp check required.

FINAL BILLS: As we get ready to the end of the school year, please pay close attention to any statements, billings, etc that are sent out. Also, if your child has any items missing, for example, uniforms, chromebook charging cords, textbooks, you will be charged for those. Final grade cards, 8th grade diplomas, and finalized re-enrollment, will be held until all fees are paid in full, unless otherwise arranged through contact with Mr. Akin & Father Cal.

PROFIT FROM DANCE: $1397. Thanks to all who helped make this fundraiser a success, and to Cindy McKenna for heading it up. We appreciate it!

GERBES COMMUNITY REWARDS: This quarter earnings - $46.40. Thanks to all who designate OLOSS as recipients of their community rewards.

SHIRT ORDER FORMS for the upcoming school year were in last week’s folder. If you place your order, with payment, before the end of the school year, your items will be available at the Open House on Saturday, August 14th. By popular demand, we will be including a new logo on the back of the spirit wear and hoodie, which will include the Cougar emblem. Just a reminder that you will be receiving one collared polo, which is covered through your registration fees. If you have misplaced yours, please call the office for additional copies.

5-8 FIELD TRIP PLANS:

·          DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF PARENTS GOING ON THIS TRIP, WE ARE ASKING ALL PARENTS/STUDENTS TO MEET AT SCHOOL THAT MORNING, SO THAT WE CAN GET ATTENDANCE ON OUR STUDENTS AND GO OVER EXPECTATIONS. WE WILL THEN CARAVAN TO JEFFERSON CITY. THIS WILL HELP AVOID CONFUSION AT THE FIRST EVENT. PLEASE BE AT SCHOOL NO LATER THAN 7:30 AM

·          DRESS CODE: Collared school logo shirt, khaki pants or shorts, denim jeans or shorts, No athletic/gym shorts. No spirit shirts, etc.

·          PLEASE remember the use of masks throughout the day will be required in some instances for parents and students, so please make sure that you have one available.

·          A VALID MO. ID will be required for ALL ADULTS entering the military facility (not just drivers!); you will not be allowed in without it.

SUMMER SCHOOL AT COLE R-V (K-8th): You may return packets (sent home last week) to OLOS School until Monday, May 3rd. We will turn them in as a batch. After that date, forms should be turned in directly to Cole R-V. Students turning in a form through the Friday folder will receive a free drawstring bag from Cole R-V. Summer school is Monday through Friday, and breakfast & lunches are free to all students.

ALL FAMILIES returning their 20-21 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by Wednesday, April 28, 2021, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family. Congratulations to Henry, Madelyn, & Austin Doerhoff for winning this week!
