NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY DUE TO TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
STUDENT COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE: Next week, Tuesday through Friday. Please donate any
canned or boxed food. The class that collects the most, by average, will win a
prize. See flyer enclosed.
CALLING ALL MOMS! Muffins with Mom has been changed to Pancakes with Mom and will
be on Wednesday, November 13th, beginning with 8:00 am Mass. We will
then move over to the school for fun and fellowship. Make sure to bring your
best smiles with you, because you will need them! If mom can’t make it, please
invite a “sub” mom in for your child.
CHANGE TO CALENDAR: There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 11th due to
faculty/staff benefits meeting at Tipton.
KOMU/STUDENT PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE: OLOS students will be featured on KOMU on the following dates: Thurs., April
23 – 2nd & 3rd grades, Sat., April 25th –
Kindergarten & 1st grades, Monday, April 27th – 4th
grade, Wed., April 29th – 5th & 6th
grades, Fri., May 1 – 7th & 8th grades.
HELP STILL NEEDED! We
are in need of a few volunteers to create the framework for the backdrop of our
Christmas musical. It would just be putting some 2 X 4’s together. If you could
help out with construction or lumber, please contact Mrs. Werdehausen as soon
as possible. Thank you!
WE LOVE OUR CLASSROOM PARENT! Thanks so much for your help in making our parties so much fun!
2020 ALL SCHOOL RAFFLE: New prizes featured for those who do not hunt. Tickets are now available
for sale for $50 each. Two winning tickets are drawn each month, for a total of
24 prizes awarded. If you would like to purchase or sell tickets, please
contact Greg Koetting, Cindy McKenna or Josh Vandike. We do have individual
tickets for sale at Mary’s Home Bank and the school office. For a list of
prizes/explanation see the reverse of these notes.
LIGHTING OF THE CEMETERY THIS WEEK: Grades 2nd through 8th were able to
participate in the Lighting of the cemetery at 11:30 on Thursday. We are hoping
that most of the lights will last throughout the weekend. Please invite all
friends and family to come by the cemetery to see this beautiful sight over the
weekend.
BOX TOPS/BEST CHOICE: Please turn in your Box Tops for Education & any Best Choice UPC’s
you may have saved, as we will be making a submission this month for reimbursement.

SANTA STORE: We will once again
have the Santa Store, and it is scheduled for Friday, December 13th.
If you or someone you know can help us out that day, please
call or send a note to the office. We need at least four more helpers. So far
we have Debbie Schulte, Rose Oligschlaeger, Amy Hagenhoff, & Cincy McKenna.
Also, if you have any new or like new items to donate to the store, please send to school. We appreciate any and all
donations!
CHRISTMAS PARADE: The
Mary’s Home Christmas Parade is planned for Friday, November 29th.
We would love OLOS School to be represented. If you can help coordinate a
float, please contact Mr. Akin.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: Mark your calendar for the OLOSS Christmas program, scheduled for Thursday,
December 5th at 6:30 pm. The alternate date will be Thursday,
December 12th.
MORE DATES: READING COUNTS PLANNING MEETING – Tuesday, November 12th
@ 5:30 pm (before the H & S mtg.), CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK PLANNING MEETING-Monday,
November 18th at 6:00 pm. All ideas needed and wanted.
