WE ARE SO PROUD of our Spelling Bee
competitors for a job well done! These students represented our school so very
well and many went through several rounds in the competition. We thank the
parents for driving, for pizza delivery, and most of all, many thanks to Mrs.
Haeffner, for getting the students ready for this event with all of the
after-school practices. We definitely appreciate her time and dedication!
REGISTRATION PACKETS for the 2019-20
school year are in today’s folder. Please complete & return these as soon
as possible – the sooner the better! If your completed packet is returned by
Wednesday, April 24 (when we come back from Easter break), your
child will receive a bonus dress down
pass (or a sweet treat for preschoolers).
ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS: Jess Adrian from Cole R-V will visit with our 8th
graders this Friday, April 12th at 8:00 am. Students will begin to
look at schedules. It is very helpful if at least one parent attends this
meeting with their child, if at all possible. The Freshman Orientation at Cole
R-V is on Monday, May 1st, beginning at 5:30 pm in the Performing
Arts Center.
CHANGE FOR BREAKFAST PLANNING MEETING! The meeting has been changed from Monday to Tuesday, April 9th
at 5:45 pm in the school cafeteria.
BREAKFAST WORK LISTS are in
today’s folder. We are still short workers. Please let Tracey Backes or Rosie
know if you would be able to help out.
GRILL RAFFLE: Along with the
school/parish breakfast next weekend, there will be a raffle for a pellet grill
(displayed at M. H. Bank), Enclosed, you will find a flyer & 5 tickets. Tickets
are $5 each. Please sell any and/or all of these if you are able. Please turn
in no later than next Friday, April 12th. Thank you!
HOME & SCHOOL MEETING is this
TUESDAY, APRIL 9TH AT 6:45 PM. This will be the final H & S mtg.
for the 2018-19 school year. All parents please plan on attending. Bonus dress down passes will be given
to all families attending. Hope to see you there!
LOOKING AHEAD TO EASTER: We will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday,
April 17th, before we break for the Holy Days and Easter. We are asking
that you please send in one dozen candy filled eggs to your child’s
classroom (no peanut butter, nothing that melts easily) This would be for
grades PK-6th. Please do not send these in until the week of April
15th. Also, you may remember
the 7/8th graders with a treat, since they will be hiding the eggs
for everyone else, and won’t have a hunt of their own!
READING COUNTS: Reading Counts deadline is Wednesday April, 24th. The Reading Counts field trip to Springfield is set
for Friday, May 3rd, 2019. The students will enjoy the day at the
Discovery Center. The bus is scheduled to leave at 7:45 am and return no later
than 5:45 pm. Check in at the Discovery Center is 9:45 am. The PK-4th
