HOME & SCHOOL – There is a H & S meeting scheduled for this Tuesday, April 10. There will be a carry in dinner at 6:30 pm, with the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm. All attending will receive a bonus dress down pass for their child. Come find out what’s happening in your child’s classroom and school!

READING COUNTS ends Tuesday, April 24th. Your child must have reached 200 points by this date in order to attend the R. C. trip. The date for the trip is set for Tuesday, May 8th. We will be going to the Wonders of Wildlife Adventure Aquarium (Bass Pro) in Springfield, MO by bus. Parents are invited to go along and may transport their own child/ren, and ONLY their own child/ren, and then sign in at the aquarium. Only teachers and students will ride the bus. Only students, staff, parents may attend this trip – sorry – no younger siblings. Other plans are being finalized. We do know that the cost for each child will be $10 for aquarium and have not determined how much of that cost will be passed on to parent. Also, parents’ admittance fee will be approximately $27 (plus tax?) and will need to be paid at the entrance. This is a 10% reduction on the normal rate of $29.95. More details to follow. In addition to the trip, your child receives one entrance into the class drawing for a gift card for every 25 points over 200 that they earn.

STUDENTS not attending the Reading Counts trip will remain at school, under the supervision of a classroom teacher, and do school work, as a normal day.

TRAFFIC FLOW/PICK-UP/DROP-OFF: If you are bringing students in to school, or if you wish to enter the school building, please do not park in the drop-off line in the mornings. Please park in the parking lot, and walk in. Failure to do so results in traffic tie-ups. Also, remember, all vehicles are to EXIT VIA THE CEMETERY ROAD. Thank you for abiding by these policies.

GOOD LUCK to the students attending the Spelling Bee at St. Martin’s School this Tuesday! We are all rooting for you! We will let you know results in next week’s notes.

TRACK NEWS: Our newly formed track team gave it their all at the track meet on Wednesday at Lewis & Clark. It is all a learning experience, but we are proud to share that the girls won 2nd place in the 2X200 competition & as well as the 2X400 competition! Great way to start the season team! Team members are Deanna Backes, Emma Goetz, Grayson Koetting, Zachary Vandike, Phoebe Whittle, Junior Wilson, Aly Haeffner, Aliyah Talledo, & Ayden Schulte. Keep up the spirit!

BABY CHICKS! The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders have eggs incubating in their classrooms, so that they may witness first-hand, the hatching of baby chicks. This program is offered to our classrooms each year through the Miller County Extension Office. Students in these grades will get a chance to bring home a chick, with parent permission. So fun!
