Reports Issued
BOOK FAIR: Thanks so much to all who came and helped with
and/or supported the book fair this week. The school earned approximately $700
in books. We appreciate your support!
GRANDPARENTS DAY: We had a really great turn-out
on Thursday morning. The students really enjoyed their special time with these
special people. Thanks to all for making it an awesome morning!
FANTASY NIGHT is scheduled for October 8th, and
it will be here before you know it! Keep on trying to sell those tickets! Today
you will find the work list sign up for this event. It takes ALL school
families to make this fundraiser a success – so please make every effort to
help out as much as possible. We are pleased to congratulate Darrel &
Denise Libbert, lucky winner of the “Early Bird” drawing last night, who
received $100!
HEALTH SCREENINGS TODAY: All students were screened
today for vision, hearing, lice, height, weight, & adherence to
immunization requirements. If there are any concerns, you will be notified in
the folder next week or by the Saving Sight vision program in today’s folder.
Many thanks to our great volunteers – Elaine Kempker, Kathy Lea, Dianne Goetz,
and the great nurses from Miller Co. Health Dept.
MARCH FOR LIFE IN D.C. Packets for this
trip were sent home recently. Please contact Nancy Kliethermes for further
information. Packets with payment can be turned into the school office, and
will be forwarded to Nancy & Carol Plank. The local deadline for all
paperwork, fees, and insurance cards is October 1st. If you are an
adult chaperone and have not attended a VIRTUS session, please let Nancy or
Carol know. If several need training the diocese may hold a class here instead
of having to attend in J. C.
CHEER COACH NEEDED: We have several young girls interested in
cheering for the basketball games and they are hoping to find a coach. If you
or anyone you know would be interested in volunteering for this, please contact
the office. All volunteers must have attended VIRTUS training.
SHIRT/HOODIE ORDERS; If you have any
questions concerning any order you may have placed for school dress code
shirts, spirit shirts, or hoodies, please contact Tammy Love directly in the
evenings at 498-3389.
GO LADY COUGARS! The JV Lady Cougars lost last
week to St. Joe, Westphalia, but put up a good fight. They lost the first set
16-25, won the second set 25-19, and ran out of time for a loss of 17-22. Last
night the JV girls played against Honey Creek and won the best of three sets,
with scores of 25-21 (win), 22-25 (loss) and 18-15 (win) with the time running
out. We hope to hear of some winning scores from the younger girls this
weekend. Good luck 4-6th graders, playing against Trinity tomorrow at
HOME. Come cheer these girls on to victory!
BOX TOPS: Please see reverse for a full listing of
products that have the box tops, which are worth 10 cents each. You would be
surprised how fast these add up! Make sure to do your clipping!
