the office or bank if you are able to sell any of these last few tickets. ALL
TICKETS – SOLD AND UNSOLD NEED TO BE TURNED INTO THE SCHOOL OFFICE OR MARY’S
HOME BANK BY MONDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 3. If you do not have money in hand,
please send in unsold tickets. They will then be distributed from bank/office
on a first come-first served basis, from a waiting list, if any. We do not want
to be stuck with unsold tickets at the last minute if they could possibly be
sold. Thanks so much!
WORK LISTS for Fantasy Night will be coming home with
your child on MONDAY. Due to the fact that much more help is needed on the last
shift, phone calls will have to be made over the weekend to fill this shift.
For those who have not signed up to help – PLEASE PITCH IN WHERE NEEDED!
TEST READERS: Thanks to our great stand-by volunteers who
helped read achievement tests this week – Dianne Goetz, Elaine Kempker, and
Debbie Schulte. We appreciate you!
HALLOWEEN PARTIES/ROOM PARENTS: We count on
our room parents to provide games, snacks, and drinks for our three classrooms
parties each year – Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. PLEASE NOTE: Due
to Halloween falling on a Monday, the preschoolers will enjoy a party and short
parade to the classrooms on Thursday, Oct. 27th, from 2:00 to 3:00
pm. They are invited to walk with us around town on Monday, the 31st
as well, but MUST HAVE A PARENT WITH THEM AND ALSO FILL OUT A PERMISSION FORM
FOR THEM. The “Walk” on Halloween will begin at 1:30 pm.
SCHOOL PORTRAITS: School pictures are
scheduled to be taken on Tuesday, October 11th. Thanks to Cindy
McKenna & Ashley Kempker for offering to help that day.
MARCH FOR LIFE IN D.C. Packets for this
trip were sent home a while back. THEY ARE NOW DUE!!! Please contact Nancy
Kliethermes for further information. Packets with payment can be turned into
the school office, and will be forwarded to Nancy. The local deadline for all
paperwork, fees, and insurance cards is October 5th. If you are an adult
chaperone and have not attended a VIRTUS session, please let Carol Plank know.
If several need training the diocese may hold a class here instead of having to
attend in Jefferson City. Questions about Virtus in Mary’s Home? Contact Carol
Plank.
GO LADY COUGARS! Congratulations to the JV
volleyball team for placing 2nd in the Honey Creek Tournament over
the weekend. They received a nice trophy for their efforts! The girls lost their game last night against St. George, Linn,
with very close scores of 23-25 (loss), 25-11 (win), and 22-24 (loss) with time
running out.
CATHOLIC BOWL T-SHIRTS: There is an order
form in today’s folder for all JV volleyball players. The JV girls will be
playing in the Bowl on October 22 & 23.
HELIAS VISIT: The 7th & 8th
graders are invited to tour Helias on Wednesday, Oct 12th. In order
to get them there, we will need drivers (13 students). If you would be able to
drive, please contact the school office early in the week next week, so that we
may get permission slips out.
