Kindergarten parents will be able to schedule their pre-kindergarten screening test with Mrs. Eickhoff that evening as well.

HOODIE ALERT! Have you noticed that your child has come home without his or her hoodie? That could be due to the fact that it is in our lost & found – which now has a total of 16 school hoodies accumulated on the rack in the cafeteria, not to mention other nice jackets as well. To claim, visit the rack. Parents – might be a good idea to take a minute to put your child’s name on the tags of all coats & jackets.

STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING (rescheduled): The Student Council will meet this Wednesday, March 11th, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
EARLY DISMISSALS & SNOW DAYS: In making decisions on early outs for snow days, along with snow days in general, our protocol for the 2014-2015 school year has been to follow Cole R-V's dismissal decisions. In keeping with this protocol, on Wednesday, March 4th, OLOS dismissed school at 9:00 a.m. after being informed that Cole R-V were sending students back home. Students’ safety is our 1st priority. When making an early out decision, we must call all the TV. Stations, set the Option C alert, & take dismissal instructions from parents. If you have a complaint or question about why we have dismissed early, please call after the dismissal time as our phone lines need to be used for the situation at hand. Due to the early out, April 7th will be a snow make up day. The School Advisory Board has decided that for the remainder of the year, the principal will use her discretion when it comes to early outs and school closings. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

SNOW MAKE-UP DAYS; DUE TO RECENT SNOW DAYS, SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION ON HOLY THURSDAY, APRIL 2 – BUT WE WILL BE DISMISSING AT 12:00 NOON. AND WE WILL BE IN SESSION A FULL DAY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7TH.

ATTENTION SPELLING BEE PARTICIPANTS:  We will have our first practice this Tuesday, March 10th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Students may bring a snack and money for a beverage, if they so desire.

COME ONE, COME ALL! All children and parents are invited to join us next Thursday, March 12th, for the Home & School meeting, beginning at 6:30 pm. We will be enjoying a potluck meal – so please bring a dish. We will also be having fun with a St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt – for children and adults!  Sounds like fun! Hope to see everyone then!

CONCERT:  Please see enclosed flyer outlining an event at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Camdenton, MO, featuring John Angotti, Christian songwriter and musician. It is taking place on Tuesday, March 24th, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Angotti has been granted awards for “Male Vocalist of the Year”, “Pop/Contemporary”, and “Praise & Worship Album of the Year,” and this promises to be not only an enjoyable experience, but an insightful one as well. He has been a presenter at previous National Catholic Youth Conferences, which many of our former students have attended. This performance is for all ages, but would be wonderful for students 6th grade through college age.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS:  Students will be attending Stations each Friday at 2:15. If you or grandparents are attending stations, and you would like to take your child after the service, please send a note to school. This will enable the student to bring his/her backpack with them to church.
