THANK YOU TO ALL THE GREAT ROOM PARENTS!! You did a fantastic job on the classroom parties & we appreciate it! Thanks also to those businesses who sponsored our Halloween Walk – The Corner Market, Senior Villa, Credit Union & M. H. Bank. Please thank them and support them with your business.  

COOKIE DOUGH: Cookie Dough & Sweet Rolls will be delivered on Tuesday, Nov. 5th. Pick-up is from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. ALL DOUGH MUST BE PICKED UP THAT AFTERNOON – WE DO NOT HAVE FREEZER SPACE TO KEEP ANY AT SCHOOL. All money is due on Monday, November 11th. Congratulations to our cash prize winners: 1st Place ($50) – Gabby Morff,2nd Place ($30) – Zachary & Mikayla Eickhoff, 3rd Place ($10 each/tie) – Noah & Hannah Evers & Sara Stansbury. Thank you so much to all who sold and purchased!

VETERANS DAY: OLOS School will be hosting a short ceremony at the flagpole @ 7:45 am & a reception following for all vets and their spouses & the school children. Please pass the word to friends & relatives. We are pleased to honor our veterans on this very special day!

RADA & THAT’’S MY PAN fundraising packets are in today’s folder. Please have all orders in by Monday, Nov. 11th. This will ensure that orders are received for Christmas gifting. Thanks for your fundraising efforts!

VOLLEYBALL UNIFORMS – Please turn in your uniforms (in a bag with name).

THANKSGIVING MEAL: On Thursday, Nov. 21st we will have our school’s Thanksgiving meal with parents. This will be from 11:00 to 12:00. Students may have no more than TWO GUESTS PER FAMILY (is for parents, but grandparents or others may sub in). Reservation/payment forms will be available in the very near future through the Friday folder.

TARGET:  We received $55 from the Give With Target campaign. This nationwide campaign allowed anyone in the U. S to vote for their favorite school on Facebook. Thanks to those who voted for our school to make this donation available to us.

CHEER COACH NEEDED – Please call the office with your offer to help.

STUPENDOUS BREAKFAST! The Fundraising Committee will be sponsoring a breakfast on Sunday, November 17th to raise money for the Reading Counts trip. Tickets were sent home last week for pre-sales. Tickets will also be available at the door. Remember, your child will receive a bonus dress down pass if you sell tickets or help with the breakfast! Thank you for your fundraising efforts!

READING COUNTS: Remember – once your child earns the 75 point Reading Counts T-shirt, he/she may wear it at any time in lieu of their regular dress code collared shirt.
BASKETBALL PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
4/5/6 Girls – Tuesdays 6:00 – 8:00 pm
7/8 Girls – Mondays 6:00 – 8:00 pm
5/6 Boys – Thursdays 3:00 – 5:30 pm
7/8 Boys – Wednesdays 3:00 – 5:30 pm
If your child is practicing after school, please send a note giving your child permission to stay for all practices. A fill-in form is enclosed in today’s folder for your convenience.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  There will be a meeting on Friday, Nov. 8th. The meeting for the following Monday (Nov. 11) is canceled. Parents – please make sure to send a note giving your child permission to stay for the meeting. Thanks so much to all who bought and sold suckers and candy corn guesses. It was a great success!

MEDICATION AT SCHOOL: We do not have a “stock supply” of medications for students. You may choose to send in a pain reliever or other types of medicine for your child. Make sure to clearly mark the container(s), and send a note giving staff permission to dispense the medication, with explicit dosage instructions. Sometimes having medicine available here for your child can mean not having to come after him/her or making a special trip to bring
medications.

-Save any used print cartridges, laser or jet, fax cartridges, etc, and send them in to school or leave in the church vestibule in the box so marked.
-Save those “Box Tops” found on many, many groceries & other misc. items – worth 10 cents each.
-Save Best Choice UPC’s (not the label).
-We receive premiums from Target if you choose OLOS School as the designated school on your Target RED credit card. Parents, teachers, and other school supporters use their REDcard credit card or Target check card, and Target will donate 1% of their purchases back to the designated school. To participate, all you need is a REDcard to enroll. Enroll at Target.com/tcoe or 1.800.316.6142.
-We participate in the Schnuck’s “Education is Everything” campaign. Visit www.schnucks.com and click on the eScrip Community Card link for program information. You will receive a card and you can present it every time you shop. A percentage of the purchase will be contributed back to OLOS School.
