MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND TELL THOSE GRANDPARENTS!!!! We will celebrate Grandparent’s Day on Thursday, September 15th. We will begin the morning with Mass at 8:00 am and then move over to the school center for fun and refreshments. The morning’s festivities should run no later than about 10:00 am. If the grandparents can’t make it, parents or other “special” people may come in their place. We look forward to seeing all the grandparents (and “fill in” grandparents) that day!
2 or 3 Volunteers Needed: Our HEALTH SCREENINGS will be on Monday, September 19th, beginning around 8:30 am. The Miller Co. nurses are short-handed, and requested that we find a few parent volunteers to help. It is easy work – just taking height/weight, records, etc. Please contact someone in the office with your offer to help out on screening day.
If you did not fill your church/school tithing form out in the registration packets (last spring) a new copy may be found in today’s folder. Father Pat asks all parents to participate fully by returning this form. We will continue to seek this form until all are returned.
We received $114 for the used printer cartridges turned into Cartridge Solutions Unlimited. Thanks to all who save and send in their used cartridges! Remember to save them from your workplace also – they really add up that way!
REPORTERS NEEDED! Would you consider being the parent reporter to update the Friday Notes on volleyball scores and highlights of games? You can email weekly info to rosie@radiowire.net (by 10:00 am Thursdays, please). Let us know if you are willing! Thanks!
Subs needed – 60 college hours preferred. Please contact Mrs. Trachsel for more information.
PARISH PICNIC!!! As you all know, our PARISH PICNIC is this Sunday. Don’t forget, though, that all the work is not just on Sunday. On Saturday, all help is needed to peel potatoes, help in the kitchen and set up on the grounds. On Sunday, make a special point to ensure that your kids are where they are supposed to work on time. On Monday, all the grounds and kitchen/school areas need cleaned up. This is really a three day (plus) event for our parish – so do your best to help when/where needed. Thanks to all for your support of OLOS Parish and School!
Have a fantastic three and a half day weekend, students! God bless us all and remember to pray for the success and for good weather for our PARISH PICNIC! See you all there!
