Welcome to our new School Advisory Board members:  Ashley Burnett & Lynn Kempker! We are still in need of one more person. Please let us know if you would be willing to fill the last position.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND TELL THOSE GRANDPARENTS!!!! We will celebrate Grandparent’s Day on Thursday, September 15th. We will begin the morning with Mass at 8:00 am and then move over to the school center for fun and refreshments. The morning’s festivities should run no later than about 10:00 am. If the grandparents can’t make it, parents or other “special” people may come in their place. We look forward to seeing all the grandparents (and “fill in” grandparents) that day!

2 or 3 Volunteers Needed:  Our HEALTH SCREENINGS will be on Monday, September 19th, beginning around 8:30 am. The Miller Co. nurses are short-handed, and requested that we find a few parent volunteers to help. It is easy work – just taking height/weight, records, etc. Please contact someone in the office with your offer to help out on screening day. Thanks to Debbie Schulte – who is our first volunteer for the day!

5/6 Grade Volleyball parents:  Please note change for this Saturday – Sept. 10th (above). This replaces the game at Vienna. Also – the time for the game on October 8th will be 9:00 am instead of 11:00 am at St. Martin’s gym.

Fantasy Night News:  When selling tickets please ask the purchaser if they will split the prize in case they do not attend the event that evening – and note this on the ticket stub. Also – please have them fill in their meat preference on the ticket stub.

If you did not fill your church/school tithing form out in the registration packets (last spring) a new copy may be found in today’s folder. Father Pat asks all parents to participate fully by returning this form. We will continue to seek this form until all are returned.

OLOS School received a $4500.00 grant from the Orscheln Industries Foundation. This grant was written by Mrs. Trachsel and is to be used for technology improvements. God bless this Foundation!

REPORTERS NEEDED! Would you consider being the parent reporter to update the Friday Notes on volleyball scores and highlights of games? You can email weekly info to rosie@radiowire.net (by 10:00 am Thursdays, please). Let us know if you are willing! Thanks!

Information for the annual March For Life in Washington D. C. can be found in today’s folder, for all 7th & 8th graders and their parents. This event will be from Jan 21st, 2012 to Jan. 24th, 2012. Please look this information over and pray over this wonderful opportunity to uphold all rights to life.
Congratulations to the JV Girls – who won their game last night, with match scores of 22-25 (loss), 25-19 (win), and 8-7 (win). Way to go, girls!

Take Charge of Education: The school received $271 in the Target Take Charge of Education campaign. Here’s how it works: When parents, teachers and other school supporters use the REDcard, Target donates up to 1% of their purchases to the eligible K-12 school they designate. Each September, those funds are distributed to schools nationwide, including ours. To learn more about the program, visit Target.com/tcoe or your local Target’s customer service dept.

Cookie Dough Kickoff: October 4th at 10:30 am. Orders will be due back on October 17th, and delivery will be on October 26th from 2-5 pm.

Please switch your lunch menus: Lunches Thursday & Friday, Sept. 15th & 16th will be switched.

Subs needed – 60 college hours preferred. Please contact Mrs. Trachsel for more information.

Have a great weekend! Remember to return your Friday Folder on Monday. Thank you!
