TRUNK OR TREAT! Our Lady of the Snows School will once again be hosting our annual "Halloween Walk". Back by popular demand is the Trunk or Treat event that goes along with this. We invite you to "treat" our students on Thursday, October 31st, in the parking lot in front of the brick school building. The students will begin our Halloween Walk at 1:30 pm, so parking/set up is from 1:00 to 1:25 pm. Some participants dress up and/or decorate their trunks & some don't but it's all in good fun. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the gym. Please call or send a note to Rosie in the school office @ 573-498-3574 if you would like to participate. Thank you!

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES: When planning costumes for your child, we ask that students not wear scary or gory costumes. No fake blood, devils, etc. Keep it light and fun! Please send a bucket or bag to school with your child for trunk or treating.

STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING RESCHEDULED: The meeting originally scheduled for October 30th has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 29th until 4:15 pm.

SCHOOL-WEAR ORDERING HAS BEEN REOPENED! Queen Bee Graphics is now taking orders through Nov. 15th. This would be a good time to take advantage of ordering for Christmas or if you just need some school shirts, quarter-zips, or spirit shirts. The link came out on Tuesday via a text to all school families: https;/queenbcustomgraphics.com/snows

AN ENOURMOUS THANK YOU goes out to all parents and volunteers who helped contribute to the success of Fantasy Night 2024. We had help from many families which helped limit the workload for everyone. We are happy to report that we had 90% participation this year from school families. Thank you to everyone who had a part in the evening. Everyone’s hard work and support of the event is greatly appreciated.

FANTASY NIGHT BIG WINNERS! Congratulations to Loren & Ashley Groose & Shawn & Diane Kempker, big winners in the Fantasy Night drawing. They chose to split the final two prizes and each went home with $5500!

FANTASY NIGHT FEEDBACK: Please take time to fill out the form enclosed in today’s folder – ways to improve, what works well, what doesn’t… Thank you!

WELLNESS POLICY: OLOS School has a wellness policy on file in the school office that supports the health and well-being of students throughout the school day. It is available for viewing at your request.

WEEKLY DRESS DOWN PASS WINNER(S)! Congratulations to  Jax K. for winning this week’s drawing! Remember – return your folder (with paperwork complete) by Tuesday to be added to the weekly drawing.

SERVICE HOURS: As a condition of enrollment, 20 hours of service to OLOS School & Parish is required of parents of all school children. Most parents do many more than 20 hours of service here, but the expectation is that you do at least 20 per household. Student service hours are not included in the 20; they have their own goals within the school and classroom. Parent service hours should be logged on your family portal. Once in your portal, on the left side choose “Family”, select the parent’s name at the top middle, click “add” in the righthand corner and log your hours. They will be verified periodically by the school office staff. For tracking purposes, it may be easier to log all service hours performed by either parent under the parent who normally checks the portal. If you are not able to fulfill this obligation, you may pay the hours out @ $10/hour, for a total of $200. The Parish Picnic and Fantasy Night are great opportunities to log several hours of service.
