MIDTERM PROGRESS REPORTS are available today. Please follow the directions below to access your child’s report. Special class grades are not posted unless there is a concern for your child.
3-8 Progress Reports are
available online. To access Progress Reports on your family portal - sign in,
then follow these steps:
On left, click “Student”
On left, directly under “Student Home” click “Grades”
In upper middle/left screen click “Midterm Progress Report”
If you have more than one student, you can switch between them on the
upper left. Please sign the slip that is enclosed in today’s folder,
acknowledging that you reviewed the report. It is a good idea to log in weekly to
check grades. This is also a good time to log in any service hours you have
performed.
K-2 Progress Reports are in
today’s folder. Look these over and if you have any questions or concerns,
please contact the classroom teacher.
MIDTERM GRADES WILL BE REVIEWED FOR SPORTS PARTICIPATION. If a student receives an academic “D” or “F” as an average of their grades, then the student will be ineligible for extracurricular activity participation. Grades will be reviewed every two weeks to monitor eligibility. The full policy can be found in the 24-25 Student Handbook.
BOOK FAIR NEWS: OLOS School families & grandparents purchased $2233.53 worth of books during the fair. This is quite impressive! OLOS School is taking our sales out in points, and we are holding them to “buy” a bigger item when we get enough points. Thanks to all who supported the Book Fair this year!
PARKING LOT REPAIR! This upcoming week (September 23-27) we are changing the drop off and pick up area to in front of the original brick school building, due to asphalt repair on the parking lot behind the gym. Make a loop - Enter by the church, exit by the bank. Please let others know who may be picking up or dropping off your child.
SCHOOL PICTURES are
scheduled for this Tuesday, Sept. 24th. Order forms are
in today’s folder. Please remit your order BY MONDAY. This will be a “Dress
UP for Picture Day”. Students may wear jeans.
FANTASY NIGHT TICKETS continue to be available for purchase through the school office, Marla at the bank, The Corner Market, OLOS Credit Union, or school families. We urge you to ask family and friends if they would like to purchase tickets and check them out through Rosie in the school office. No tickets or payments for tickets will be handled through the Friday Folder. You are encouraged to come directly to the school office or plan to pick up/hand off tickets/payments in the morning drop off or afternoon pick up line with the attendant. The Early Bird winner (drawn today, Friday) will be announced on Facebook. All families are expected to work Fantasy Night. Work lists will be sent out next week.
FANTASY NIGHT SILENT AUCTION & SPONSORSHIP LETTERS were sent home recently. All families are asked

TRUNK OR TREAT INVITE! Our Lady of the Snows School will once again be hosting our annual "Halloween Walk". Back by popular demand is the Trunk or Treat event that goes along with this. We invite you to "treat" our students on Thursday, October 31st, in the parking lot in front of the brick school building. The students will be trick or treating at 1:30 pm, so parking/set up is from 1:00 to 1:25 pm. Some participants dress up and/or decorate their trunks & some don't but it's all in good fun. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the gym. Please call or send a note to Rosie in the school office @ 573-498-3574 if you would like to participate. Thank you!
STEWARDSHIP FAIR: All school families are cordially invited to the next quarterly Our Lady of the Snows Town Hall meeting and Stewardship Fair on Sunday, September 29, after the 8:00 am Mass in the gym. Reports will be provided from the various parish leadership groups including the Building & Grounds and Renovation Committees, the Finance & Picnic Committees, and the Directory Planning committee. Parish ministries and other school/parish activities will have informational and sign-up tables. Refreshments will be provided
VOLLEYBALL SCORES: The Volleyball girls fought hard last weekend with stiff competition! The set scores were 25-3, 25-4, & 25-8, with St. George winning the match. In the second match, the set scores were 25-15, 25-12, & 25-14, with St. Peter winning the match. Good luck @ St. Martin this weekend, Lady Cougars; we are so proud of you! Keep trying hard!
SERVICE HOURS: As a condition of enrollment, 20 hours of service to OLOS School & Parish is required of parents of all school children. Most parents do many more than 20 hours of service here, but the expectation is that you do at least 20 per household. Student service hours are not included in the 20; they have their own goals within the school and classroom. Parent service hours should be logged on your family portal. Once in your portal, on the left side choose “Family”, select the parent’s name at the top middle, click “add” in the righthand corner and log your hours. They will be verified periodically by the school office staff. For tracking purposes, it may be easier to log all service hours performed by either parent under the parent who normally checks the portal. If you are not able to fulfill this obligation, you may pay the hours out @ $10/hour, for a total of $200. The Parish Picnic and Fantasy Night are great opportunities to log several hours of service.
YOUR CHANCE TO WIN DRESS DOWN PASSES! All families returning their 24-25 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by the Tuesday of the week following, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family (or a treat for preschoolers). Congratulations to Ellie, Brody, Hatti, & Oliver S. for winning this week’s drawing!
Please return your folder on
MONDAY or TUESDAY!
Have a great weekend!
