MIDTERM PROGRESS REPORTS are available today. Please follow the directions below to access your child’s report. Special class grades are not posted unless there is a concern for your child.

3-8 Progress Reports are available online. To access Progress Reports on your family portal - sign in, then follow these steps:

On left, click “Student”

On left, directly under “Student Home” click “Grades”

In upper middle/left screen click “Midterm Progress Report”

If you have more than one student, you can switch between them on the upper left. Please sign the slip that is enclosed in today’s folder, acknowledging that you reviewed the report. MIDTERM GRADES WILL BE REVIEWED FOR SPORTS PARTICIPATION. If a student receives an academic “D” or “F” as an average of their grades, then the student will be ineligible for extracurricular activity participation. Grades will be reviewed every two weeks to monitor eligibility. The full policy can be found in the 24-25 Student Handbook.

BOOK FAIR NEWS: OLOS School families & grandparents purchased $2233.53 worth of books during the fair. This is quite impressive! SERVICE HOURS: As a condition of enrollment, 20 hours of service to OLOS School & Parish is required of parents of all school children. Most parents do many more than 20 hours of service here, but the expectation is that you do at least 20 per household. Student service hours are not included in the 20; they have their own goals within the school and classroom. Parent service hours should be logged on your family portal. Once in your portal, on the left side choose “Family”, select the parent’s name at the top middle, click “add” in the righthand corner and log your hours. They will be verified periodically by the school office staff. For tracking purposes, it may be easier to log all service hours performed by either parent under the parent who normally checks the portal. If you are not able to fulfill this obligation, you may pay the hours out @ $10/hour, for a total of $200. The Parish Picnic and Fantasy Night are great opportunities to log several hours of service.

YOUR CHANCE TO WIN DRESS DOWN PASSES! All families returning their 24-25 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by the Tuesday of the week following, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family (or a treat for preschoolers). Congratulations to Ellie, Brody, Hatti, & Oliver S. for winning this week’s drawing!

WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED by so many donations lately! We have received a donation for an ice-cream celebration in memory of a recently deceased member of our parish, several donations for cemetery lights, a donation at the picnic from a parishioner representing Veterans United (intended to “make someone’s day”!), many items on our Amazon Wish List, and memorial donations for recently deceased from our parish and beyond. We also want to recognize Gary & Pam Schulte, G & R Electric, for purchasing the 20 dozen donuts we will be enjoying on Grandparents’ Day this week. These donations, be them big or small, help make our school day more interesting, exciting, and help make our facilities a great place to learn in a big way!
