2024-2025 ENROLLMENT OPEN! In today’s folder you will find instructions for enrolling your child(ren) for the next school year. Your child will receive a bonus dress down pass for the 24-25 school year if enrollment is complete by Friday, April 5th (they will receive it in Open House packet in August). Many of the forms and lists that are linked in the enrollment packet are enclosed with these instructions for your convenience. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call the school office.
SHIRT VENDOR NEEDED: You may notice that the enrollment packet is missing school dress code shirt and spirit shirt order forms. Please let us know if you know of someone who would be interested in filling school wear needs.
CATHOLIC MILESTONE! Congratulations to Jax, Liam, Colton, & Hatti, who celebrated their first Sacrament of Healing, First Reconciliation, on Wednesday. Please pray for these students and all the 2nd graders in our parish who are celebrating sacramental milestones during this Lenten & Easter season.
DRIVERS NEEDED! We would like to send all of our 6th & 7th graders to the Vocations Day on Wednesday, May 1st, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Columbia. Last year, the 6th graders were unable to attend. Please, if you are able to drive, let us know as soon as possible so that we are able to make reservations for our students.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: This upcoming Friday, March 22 will be our last Stations before Easter. Mrs. Belshe’s K/1 classes will be acting out the Shadow Stations in church @ 2:30 pm. If you are planning to attend, and wish to check your child out at church, please let us know ahead of time so that your child can bring his/her bookbag along to church.
REPORT CARDS – 3rd QUARTER: Report cards are available online through your FACTS parent portal. If you haven’t already done so, please review and then sign & return the slip provided in last week’s folder. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the classroom teacher. To access the grade card on your family portal, please follow these steps:

under “Grades”, click “Report Card”.

If you have more than
one student, you can switch between grade cards in the upper middle of the
screen.
SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS NEEDED! If you are interested in serving on our Advisory Council, please let Mrs. Varner know by Wed., 3/20. Voting ballots will be sent home in next week’s folder. We have two members whose terms are up so two seats are available.
MEET AND GREET/HOME & SCHOOL NIGHT: Thanks to all who came out on Monday night in support of our open house and meeting. It was a great evening! It was decided at the H & S mtg. to have a 24-25 Parent Planning meeting on Monday, April 15th @ 5:30 pm in the school cafeteria to plan activities for the students and staff in the upcoming school year. Please plan on attending or if you have ideas and can’t make it, contact Jena Schwaller or the school office.
GYM PAINTING: Thanks so much to all who took the time to help with the painting this week. We had good help both evenings! Special thanks to Aly Haeffner, Kaylee Kempker & MaKenna Short for their help on the playground. The portion that we were able to paint is complete. There will be additional work next week on the upper walls by the contractor, so the gym will still be out of use.
FISHING DAY AT LEPPER LAKE for 2nd through 8th graders will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, departing from school @ 12:00 noon. We will need several drivers for the afternoon. Please fill out the enclosed driver form if you would be able to transport students that day.
FIELD DAY-MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Much help will be needed that day. A planning meeting will be scheduled. More details to come.
FUNDRAISING DANCE & PIZZA! Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, featuring the Ryan Voss Band. Pizza Kwik will also be on hand. The proceeds will be used for gym repair. Additional flyers are available in the school office. UPDATE OF PIZZA KWIK! The time has been adjusted to serving from 11:00 am through 9:00 pm out on the parking lot, to serve your lunchtime needs as well as your dinner!
EASTER EGG HUNT! We will have our traditional Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday, April 2, the day we come back from Easter break. The eggs will be provided by donors again this year.
7th GRADE FAMILIES - GRADUATION INFO: It is a tradition at OLOS School for the 7th grade parents and students to sponsor the 8th grade graduation reception. While all 7th grade families are expected to help, we usually ask for one or two people to organize it. Thank you to Jeana Pringer for being the first to offer to coordinate, and to Christina Eickhoff, for her offer to help! Please consider helping Jeana coordinate graduation plans and contact us with your offer to help. (Graduation – Sat., Apr. 27 - 4:00 pm Mass)
COLE R-V FRESHMAN ORIENTATION for incoming freshman will be at Cole R-V on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the school cafeteria.
