MANY THANKS to our volunteers, veterans, and kitchen staff for such a great week! The Thanksgiving meal was no less than amazing, thanks to Cindy, Bryan & Marie! We were so glad to host our wonderful volunteers and parish representatives on Thursday, and our vets on Friday. Thanks too, to Mrs. Hoecker & Mrs. Belshe, for sponsoring the Veteran’s Day celebration. We so appreciate the support of our little school!

HOME & SCHOOL MEETING: Our next H & S meeting will be on Monday, November 13th, beginning @ 6:00 pm with a potluck meal. Please make plans to attend to help plan & coordinate school activities and to keep up with what’s going on in the classrooms. You will also receive a bonus dress down pass for your child! Students are welcome and can use the gym for recreation.

FOOD DRIVE: We have been and will continue to collect Thanksgiving dinner items through Friday, November 17th for the Eugene Christian Church Food Panty. We haven’t reached it yet, but if we reach our goal of 400 items, we will have a schoolwide ice cream party! See back of this newsletter for full details. Thank you for supporting our Student Council’s food drive!

OPPORTUNITES TO HELP! As we approach the holidays, we wanted to let you know about the projects we will be supporting through the school. Please find the enclosed list of projects & items needed. Please turn in items by December 11th. Thank you!

A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER! On the reverse of the volunteer opportunity sheet, you will find an outline of December dress down days. We hope the students enjoy this opportunity to celebrate the season! Please keep this for your reference.

SANTA STORE: The Student Council will be having the Santa Store again this year on Tuesday, December 12.  We need volunteers to help that day.  We can also use donations of tape, gift bags, large brown lunch sacks, staplers, and staples, and items for the store. Please contact Rosie or Mrs. Groose if are able to help out on December 12th. Thank you!

GERBES COMMUNITY REWARDS: We recently received funds in the amount of $69.81. Please read further for how you can help with this very easy way of supplementing our school.

SIGN UP FOR GERBES COMMUNITY REWARDS:  OLOS is enrolled in the Gerbes “Community Rewards” program. This program offers money back to our school, based on enrolled customer’s spending. It is a really easy process. You just tie your Gerbes shopper’s card to our school account. If you don’t have a Gerbes shopper’s card, it takes less than a minute to get one at the store or online. All the information needed to complete this process is online. @ www.gerbes.com/communityrewards. Our school code is TU152. It takes just a couple minutes so get all your family and friends to register as well! The school will receive quarterly payments in cash form. We will update you as we receive those funds. This has the potential to be a great moneymaker for the school – the key is to get many, many people involved. No selling needed! Please pass the word to family and friends and thanks for supporting OLOS School!!!
