FANTASY NIGHT SUCCESS! Thanks so much to all the workers and donors who made this fundraiser such a success! Totals for this fundraiser will be available in the very near future. In the folder today, you will find a list of ticket drawing winners & silent auction winners, along with a survey, as outlined below.

FANTASY NIGHT SURVERY: We would love to get your feedback, or any comments/suggestions from others you heard during this fundraiser. The survey has been broken down into “areas” to help you think through each component of the fundraiser. Please return this sheet on Tuesday or as soon as possible. Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable input!

HALLOWEEN PLANS: We invite all parents, parishioners, and community members to participate in our 4th annual Trunk or Treat, which will be on Halloween day, Tuesday, October 31st at 1:30 pm in the parking lot in front of the brick school building. The students will go on their annual “Halloween Walk”, trick or treating (in costume) through local businesses and offices, and then walk through the Trunk or Treat area. Please help spread the word to community members – all are invited to treat the kiddos! Please call the school office if you or someone you know would like to participate. When planning for costumes for your child, we ask that students not wear scary or gory costumes. No fake blood, devils, etc. Keep it light and fun! Also, please send along a bag or bucket for trunk or treating.

ROOM PARENTS: When coming for the Halloween festivities on October 31st, all room parents should sign in at the office. We ask that you do not come to other doors to be let in, and that you do not let others in. All Preschool room parents will be escorted to the preschool classroom after signing in at 1:00 pm. All other room parents – for grades K-8, will sign in and remain in the cafeteria area until 1:15 pm. Thank you for your cooperation. A room parent list is on the reverse of these notes.

CEMETERY LIGHTING: Everyone is invited to join the school children for the Litany of the Saints & Lighting of the Cemetery at 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 31st (weather permitting). Since 2017, OLOS School students have placed tea lights on the tombstones in our cemetery. which originates as an ancient tradition from Germany in which they placed burning candles on ancestral graves to burn all night on All Saints Eve. These lights represent the “light of the Holy Souls” as they burn quietly through the night. It is quite impressive!
