ADOPT A FAMILY: Thanks to all who have sent in gifts for the Adopt a Family collection. Students will be wrapping gifts this upcoming week, and we will be taking it all in on Friday. If you were unable to shop earlier, it is not too late; you may turn in your gift early next week.

MARY’S HOME CHRISTMAS PARADE: Congratulations to our students for taking “Runner Up” in the parade last weekend. We are all so proud that our school was very well represented in the parade. Thanks especially to the Doerhoffs and the Schwallers for use of trailer, props, and a place to work on the float. The students won four pizzas from the Corner Market and will be enjoying those soon!

DRIVERS NEEDED! We need drivers for the thirteen OLOS Choir members’ musical presentation at the Capitol the afternoon of December 16th (our portion begins @ 12:45 pm). Please send a note or call the office with your offer to drive, indicating how many students you might be able to haul in your vehicle. Thank you!

GAMES TOMORROW: Please, if you are able, help is greatly needed for the later games with concessions, door, and clean-up. Contact Derrick or Jeana Pringer with your offer to help. March 10th will no longer be a half day – we will be in session a full day.

PAYMENT INFO. NEEDED: On Tuesday, Nov. 23rd, a cash payment was left on Rosie’s desk without a name. (Rosie was out that day.). Please call the office if you made a payment in cash last week so that we can get our records up to date. Thank you!

YARD SIGNS: Are you watching for Our Lady of the Snows yard signs?  Please let us know if you would like one for your yard!

HOME & SCHOOL: The next potluck/meeting is set for Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. Please mark your calendar now and make plans to attend this meeting!

DECEMBER AND JANUARY SCHOOL MASSES: Father Stephen Jones is going to be doing our school Masses every Wednesday except for the feast of the Immaculate Conception on Wed., Dec. 8, as Father Alex has already arranged for another priest to celebrate Mass on this major feast day and holy day of obligation. However, since Father Jones is driving down from Jefferson City, we have to schedule our Wednesday Masses for 9:00 am throughout December and January except for the holy day on Dec. 8.  Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!

SUBS NEEDED! We are in great need of subs for both the classrooms and in the kitchen. Please contact Mrs. Burgess if you, or someone you know, might be interested.

DECEMBER: Our December morning prayer is The Morning Offering, and our December Christskill is Caring. Our Advent theme is "We Wait in Joyful Hope."

SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF! Our Lady of the Snows School is very blessed to have such devoted, hard-working, and experienced staff members who have dedicated their careers to the children and families of Our Lady of the Snows community.  We will spotlight a different staff member in the bulletin each week.   This week's spotlight is on Marianna Kliethermes Werdehausen.  "My name is Marianna Kliethermes Werdehausen, and I grew up in Eugene.  I have lived right outside of Mary's Home since I got married.  I am the oldest of seven children.  My dad is still a sign painter and has been all of his life.  My mom was a cook at OLOS and then began a catering business called "Ethel & Wilma's Catering."  She still makes the best cinnamon rolls around!  I am married to Ronnie, and we have two grown children.  Caleb lives in Kansas City and has one little boy, Atlas, who is seven.  Brooke lives across from our Church and has three children, Anna 8, Kenzie 6, and Carter 3.  I have my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in PreK-3rd Grade.  I have taught too many years at OLOS to count!  LOL!"  I have other jobs over the years, including being a babysitter, worker in an ice cream parlor, a waitress, a cleaning lady, a camera salesperson, a secretary, a Mary Kay representative, a reader for the legally blind, but the best of all has been being a mom and grandma!  When I am not at school, I like to paint, draw, read, fish, go hunting, canoe, camp, sit around a campfire, and to do all of these things with my family.  My favorite thing about OLOS is that it is a Catholic school with small classes. I choose to teach at OLOS because I get to share my faith with the kids!"

YOUR CHANCE TO WIN DRESS DOWN PASSES! All families returning their 21-22 Friday folder (The Heavens Declare the Glory of the Lord) by Tuesday, Dec.7, 2021, with any needed paperwork completed, will be placed in a drawing for a bonus dress down pass for students in their family. Congratulations to Mikayla & Jacob E.., this week‘s winners of the bonus dress down pass!

Have a JOYful, relaxing weekend!
