Friday Newsletter 2-11-21
Dear OLOS Parents,
Just a reminder that school is not in session tomorrow,
Friday, Feb. 12, due to professional development. Also, school is not in
session Monday, Feb. 15, due to Presidents’ Day holiday. Please look over your
child’s grades on FACTS (grades 2-8), sign the slip, and return on
Tuesday. (K-1: return signed progress report.)
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, this upcoming Friday, Feb.
17. ALL SCHOOL STAFF will attend Mass, so if you are running late on Wednesday,
please bring your child directly to church if after 7:50 am. We will then begin
having Stations of the Cross every Friday at 2:15 pm.
Next week's weather is looking hazardous, and we will be
sending home Chromebooks and selected core textbooks. This is in the event we
would have multiple days out next week due to weather. Students will
then be able to work on their devices. If no internet connection is
available, then work will be expected to be returned 2 days after in-person
classes resume. Please, if during the week we are virtual and you have
questions, your teachers will be available from 9:00-3:00. Tomorrow, teachers
will be working on assignments for next week (IN CASE OF HAZARDOUS WEATHER).
Some teachers will have work sent home tonight, others will have them available
via-email or Google Classroom.
Congratulations to Madisyn Suess, winner of the Friday
folder dress down pass drawing.
Good luck to the 5/6 grade boys’ basketball team on
Saturday, when they play a HOME GAME at 10:00 am against St. Stan. Go Cougars!
Everyone stay safe & warm! Thank you and have a good four-day
weekend!
