SANTA STORE: We will have a Santa Store Tuesday, December 18th, and are still accepting donations. Many thanks to the following volunteers, for giving up their day for the enjoyment of our children: Judy Bax & sister Alice, Theresa Berendzen, Tracey Backes, Cindy McKenna, Marie Massman, Russ & Debbie Kempker, & Alvina Bittle.

BLESS THE BABY JESUS! OLOSS students will be able to bring the Baby Jesus from your home Nativity set to Mass on Wednesday, December 19th for blessing. Father Alex will do this blessing sometime during the Mass that morning. Students who placed an order will receive their baby Jesus that morning before Mass (we had to substitute the style). We would like all school children to have a Baby Jesus to bless.

CHRISTMAS CLASSROOM PARTIES will be at 9:30 on Thursday, Dec. 20th. We will dismiss at noon that day. A brown bag lunch will be served on the 20th instead of the meal listed on the calendar. PLEASE FILL OUT & RETURN THE INSERT, WHICH LETS US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE EATING A SCHOOL LUNCH THAT DAY.

CHRISTMAS CLASSROOM GIFTS: By popular response, the traditional classroom gift-giving will continue. Gifts should be new and of $5 value. Boys buy for boys and girls buy for girls. Please mark the package “girl” or “boy”.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING AT CAPITOL: Thanks to the parents who drove for the field trip on Wednesday. Now that we have been there and know what is involved, we will be better able to prepare for next year and plan our participation.

ITALIAN FEAST TICKETS & FLYERS will be sent home in the folder on Wednesday. Please try to sell these during your holiday gatherings.

CSW & H&S: There will be a Catholic School’s Week planning meeting on Tuesday, January 8th at 5:45 pm. This will be followed by a Home & School meeting for all parents at 6:30 pm. Please make plans to attend!
DUE TO THE SNOW DAY ON NOVEMBER 15TH – SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION ON MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 2019.

MARY’S HOME CHRISTMAS PARADE! The parade will be on December 22nd. We have had some sign up to ride. Please be at KC Ballfield by 4-4:15. Even if you didn’t sign up, and decide you can make it, please join in.  Parental help needed and appreciated! Riders may bring their own candy to throw, but WE WOULD ASLO APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS OF CANDY FOR THE FLOAT. PLEASE SEND TO OFFICE ANYTIME BEFORE WE BREAK FOR CHRISTMAS. Thanks to Joan & Allen Doerhoff, who will be in charge of getting the trailer and getting ready.

CLASS BASKETS: In your holiday shopping for good deals you may keep in mind the classroom themes for the Italian Feast fundraiser baskets. Each classroom sponsors a basket, in which is placed items donated by the parents of the classroom. You may send in an item for the basket or $5 & let the teacher do the shopping. Each family is responsible for 1 item for the classrooms they have children in, and also responsible for one other item to place directly on the auction, either through solicitation or donation. (For example, Parent A has three children in school. He/she will purchase a gift for 1st grade basket, 3rd grade basket & 7th grade basket, and also asks their friendly business owner for a donation or the Parent A can donate an item directly.) Classroom themes are:
PK – Backyard Fun Basket
K/1 – Game Night Basket (games & snacks)
2 – Gift Card Basket
3/4 – Mizzou Basket
5/6 – A Day at the Spa Basket
7/8 – Camping Basket
