SANTA
STORE is this Tuesday, December 15th. Please
find the tags for your child to fill out enclosed in this folder. RETURN THESE
ON MONDAY. We are limiting to five tags
per child. There will be no charge for shopping this year. Many thanks to all
who sent in items for our store. We had SO MANY donations this year – new and
fairly costly items, especially from members of the parish who have no children
in school. It is just astounding! We also thank, in advance, Theresa Berendzen,
Carol Evers, Kathy Lea, Dianne Goetz, Christina Eickhoff, and Alvina Sestak,
for being our “Elf Helpers” that day. We will begin the store at 10:20 am, and
run it during special class time. So much fun!
COOKIE
DOUGH: We still have some cookie dough money out. It
is time to finish up this fundraiser. If you have not already done so, please
turn your money in by Monday. If it
not turned in on Monday, we will be calling you. We also have one of each kind
of cookie dough left for sale – the only exceptions being peanut butter and
sugar. Contact the office if you are
interested. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDERS – SOMEONE GOT CINNAMON BRAIDS INSTEAD OF
CINNAMON ROLLS. Please let us know if you received the wrong item.
LUNCH BILLS: We billed for lunch a few days early this month, due to the Christmas
break. If you owe for the upcoming month, you will find a bill in today’s
folder.
PARISH PENANCE SERVICE: Wednesday, Dec. 16th, at 7:00 pm.
No homework or tests will be assigned that evening so that all families are
able to attend. FIRST RECONCILIATION
is also set for the same time and date. The children making their First
Reconciliation and their parents will go first, before all other parishioners
and guests. Parents of these youngsters – please make your Reconciliation
before your child so that your child will not be scared or nervous. PLEASE PRAY FOR THESE CHILDREN - MAY GOD BLESS
THEM ALL!
SCHOOL PROGRAM/MUSICAL: Our sincere thanks to Mrs. Pleus, for all the
hard work and practice time she put in with the students. We had a packed house
on Sunday and a good showing for the dress rehearsal on Friday as well. All the
singing and cute faces really put everyone in the Christmas spirit!
MARY’S HOME PARADE: Mary’s Home Corner
Market and Evers Machine Shop are sponsoring a Christmas parade after the 5:00
pm Mass on Saturday, December 19, beginning at 6:30 pm in the KC
parking lot. It would be nice to have Our Lady of Snows School
represented in the parade. The theme is American Christmas. I was
going to try to make the float very simple and just decorate a trailer in Red,
White and Blue with Christmas lights, have a “living” nativity scene on the
float and have children riding on the float waving flags. If you would
like to help with the float or have your child ride on the float please contact
Kim Evers at 573-619-6770. If your child would like to ride on the float,
please plan to stay with your child until shortly before the parade begins, and
each parent is responsible for bringing candy if there child wishes to throw
candy along the route. ...Kim Evers
ROOM PARENTS/PARTIES. Room

Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at 9:30 am. Thanks for your help!
GIFT EXCHANGE/PARTIES: Students will be doing a gift exchange in the classroom at their
Christmas parties on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd. Boys should buy for boys
and girls buy for girls – names will not be exchanged. Gifts should be of $5
value.

it went very fast!
BASKETBALL UPDATE: Good efforts are being put forth by all the
ball players in this week of many games. Unfortunately, we have no winning
scores to announce. Good luck to the JV girls & boys teams, who will each play
two more games over the weekend – one tonight and one tomorrow in the High
Point Tournament. GO COUGARS!
LET’S WIN A FREE PLAYGROUND: Together
Counts is a nationwide program inspiring active and healthy living. This
program offers each year, a sweepstakes for schools to win a free playground. OLOS School
is signed up for this promotion and you can go online and enter each day until
March 2016. It takes only a minute to sign up initially and just a few seconds
each day to submit an entry. Just think how much better our chances will be if
many participate each day. So tell your friends, families, and associates. Forward
this address to everyone, and ask them to help OLOS School
win a new playground! If you do not wish
to be contacted for any other promotions you can deselect those options. Thank
you for your support!
