CATHOLIC SCHOOLS’ WEEK WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! The roller skating is over, the cookies have been baked and passed out, and the letters and cards delivered to our community and military. Then there was visiting with Father and Sr. Josetta, and the students and staff have had their treats too. What a wonderful week of celebration of our faith and academics! We thank all who helped with CSW in any way, but most especially we recognize you – the parents of our Catholic School families. It is a great thing you are doing for your children!

If you have not yet turned in money for tickets or unsold tickets, please do so tonight. Also, it is not too late to drop off that Silent Auction item if you haven’t had a chance to get it by the school. Thanks so much for your support of this important fundraiser for our school.

Thank you so much to the Knight of Columbus, who donated $67.72 to OLOS School for students with special needs. These funds are funneled through their yearly tootsie roll drive. We thank the Knights and appreciate their efforts in supporting the school.

Lost & Found at the Roller Rink:  Found – a black Eugene Eagles sweatshirt, claim in office. Lost – a Bass Pro sweatshirt, contact/send to office if you mistakenly picked it up. Thank you!

For Catholic Schools Week, OLOS School was to nominate a “Catholic School Superhero” in a contest sponsored by the diocesan Catholic School office. We were to think of someone who models the characteristics of faith, academics, and service. The school has nominated Betty Pound as our “superhero”. Betty does much! Please read enclosed submission to the diocesan office, written by Mrs. Trachsel. When you see Betty – let her know how much we appreciate her!

We ordered more beef sticks and I will be selling them at lunchtime again for $1.00 each. If you would like a box of 30, just send in $30 to the office in a marked envelope, and I will send a box home to you. Thanks!   …Mrs. Groose
