PK-8 REPORT CARDS – 2nd QUARTER: Report cards are available online through your FACTS parent portal. If you have not already done so, please review and then sign & return the slip provided in last week’s folder. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the classroom teacher. To access the grade card on your family portal, please follow these steps:
·
Log into your account
at factsmgt.com – use school code ols-mo and your username & password.
·
On left, click
“Student”.
·
On left, directly
under “Grades”, click “Report Card”.
· If you have more than one student, you can switch between grade cards in the upper middle of the screen.
SERVICE HOURS REPORT: You can find a copy of your service hour log sheet in the folder today. While in your family portal for the grade cards, take the time to log your service hours. Remember that all households (between the two parents/guardians) must perform at least 20 hours of service to the school and/or parish each school year. This requirement does not include student service hours, which are performed within the classroom/school day. In lieu of the hours, you may choose to pay out the time @ $20/hr.
BASKETBALL NEWS: Thank you for coming out and supporting our Girls’ Basketball Team and Cheer Squad last Saturday. The girls played great and won their 1st game of the season 14-12 against St. Peter, JC. GO COUGARS!

QUIZ BOWLS UPDATE: Quiz
Bowl practices have been taking place on Thursdays after lunch. The scrimmage schedule is on the back of
these notes. Good luck to our team, having their first meet this Thursday. Team
members – please return the permission form enclosed in today’s folder.
ARCHERY: We will continue to have archery practice on Wednesday nights from 4:30-5:30 pm. The students are still practicing for the upcoming meets they will attend. Once the tournament dates are all set, we will let you all know the locations and times. Thanks for being patient as we try to navigate through this new process.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: There
are a few sign up sheets in this week’s folder. Please fill out and send back
on Tuesday so that our CSW COMMITTEE can prepare for the fun-filled week
they have planned for our students and staff. We are also in need of some volunteer
parents to help on Monday for staff appreciation lunch and Friday
for Student Day. If you can volunteer your time, please contact the office.
DRESS CODE: Just a
few reminders about the dress code we discussed at the Home and School Meeting
on Monday. Preschool students should always wear Velcro or Slip on shoes or
sneakers, please no tie shoes. All students are required to wear shoes
that have a back on them, no slip-on shoes or crocs. Shoes must be tennis-like
shoes and meet the requirements in the handbook. Boots are only allowed on
dress down days, and this rule applies to preschool students as well.
SCHOOL CLOSING: Any emergency early dismissal or closing of the school due to weather will be announced by parent alert (text, email) and through social media, as well as over area television stations. Parents should not call the school office during inclement weather conditions to learn if the school is closing early. This unnecessarily ties up our phone lines for emergency communications. A phone call into school during this time will delay the process of getting our communications out to all families. Please note that afternoon extended care services are not available in the event of early dismissal due to weather or other emergencies.
PROPANE THAT PAYS… If you are or would like to be a customer of Capital Energy Co, please LET THEM KNOW that you are a member of OLOS parish. The parish receives a percentage for every gallon the customer buys, and usually have some of the cheaper prices in the area. (They cannot issue a donation on the customer’s behalf unless the customer tells them they are a member of the parish.) In past years the parish has received approximately $1000/yearly. That’s worthwhile! Thank you for your support!
COMMUNICATION: As we transition office staff, please include all three of the office staff in any email regarding school day schedules, early pick-ups, etc. Thank you for your cooperation!
