MIDTERM PROGRESS REPORTS were available last week. If you have not already done so, please follow the directions below to access your child’s report.

3-8 Progress Reports are available online. To access Progress Reports on your family portal - sign in, then follow these steps:

On left, click “Student”

On left, directly under “Student Home” click “Grades”

In upper left screen click “Midterm Progress Report”

If you have more than one student, you can switch between them on the upper left. Please sign the slip enclosed in today’s folder, acknowledging that you reviewed the report. It is a good idea to log in weekly to check grades. This is also a good time to log in any service hours you have performed.

K-2 Progress Reports were in last week’s folder. Look over these and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the classroom teacher.

RE-ENROLLMENT & APPLICATIONS: Online enrollment for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year is now open. Please take time now to re-enroll your student and make an application for your new student (if applicable). Directions were recently included in the folder, but if you need help, please contact Rosie in the school office. We would like to have all re-enrollment and new student enrollment completed by THIS MONDAY, APRIL 14TH. All submitting the online enrollment packet by that date will receive a BONUS DRESS DOWN PASS for the new school year.

2024-25 YEARBOOK ORDERS FORMS were in last week’s folder. If you no longer have your form, you may send in $25 in a marked envelope by the end of the school year (checks payable to OLOS). This is your one and only opportunity to order yearbooks, as the final order is submitted over the summer.

FISHING DAY: Thank you so much to Donnie & Cindy Lepper, for being so gracious in letting us enjoy their beautiful lake for fishing on Friday! We so appreciate it! Also, we wish to thank Darryl for getting the equipment ready ahead of time and of course, to all of our amazing parent drivers. We couldn’t do it without you!

SKETCH DAY RESULTS: The students all did a wonderful job on Sketch Day last week and we are very proud of them! All sketches are on display in our cafeteria. Congratulations to:

Romie & Brena – HIGH HONOR/Red Ribbon

Anna, Jessi, Madelyn, Nicholas, Gus – HONOR/Yellow Ribbon

Ellie & Alayna – EXHIBITOR/White Ribbon

SPELLING BEE RESULTS: Congratulations to Madelyn, Romie, Vivian & Magdaline, who participated in the Spelling Bee on Thursday. Though they didn’t place, they tried their hardest, and that’s what counts! We are proud of them! Thanks to Henry & Jessi, who went along as backup and to Monica Bittle and Joan Doerhoff, our wonderful parent drivers.

FIELD DAY NEWS: Field Day is Tuesday, April 29th. We are excited about several of the new activities planned! If you can spend the day (or part of the day) with us, please let Amber Schulte know.

STEP-UP MORNING – MONDAY, APRIL 28TH: We invite all new preschoolers and any new student to attend the “Step Up” morning, (7:30 am – 9:00 am) which will help orient our new enrollees to the “school experience”. All current students will advance to the next grade for that same period of time to get an idea of what their next school year might be like. Please contact Rosie or Amber in the school office if you are interested in sending your new student to join us that morning.

CANDY FOR EGGS & 7/8 GRADERS: Please send in candy or treats for our Easter Egg Hunt, which will be on Tuesday, April 22, when we return from Easter Break. We have plastic eggs – just need the treats to fill them with. We also want to make sure to have a little extra – to treat our 7th & 8th graders, who hide the eggs for each classroom. Thank you for any donation you can make!

WEEKLY DRESS DOWN PASS WINNER(S)! Congratulations to Ellie, Brody, Hatti, & Oliver for winning this week’s drawing! Remember – return your folder (with paperwork complete) by Tuesday to be added to the weekly drawing.

NO NEWSLETTER NEXT WEEK/BILLS DUE: Due to the short week, there will be no newsletter next week. However, there will be UNPAID FEE & SERVICE HOURS NOTICES. Please take time this weekend to get your service hours updated!
