SNOW DAY MAKE-UP: Due to the inclement weather
& missing school on Tuesday, SCHOOL WILL NOW BE IN SESSION ON MONDAY,
FEBRUARY 19TH, a designated snow make-up day.
GUN RAFFLE: The first drawing will be at the dance
tomorrow night, January 20th. Tickets will be available before the
drawing at the dance. There will still be tickets available after the first
drawing, and until all are sold.
ENVELOPES NEEDED: If any out there have access
at work or elsewhere, to business size envelopes that are no longer needed, we
are in need of some. In the past, we have had many donated to use for sending
home bills, etc, Sometimes when the state changes offices or an address
changes, old envelopes with obsolete return addresses are disposed of. We could
put them to good use.
MASS PARTS FOR CSW MASS: In the folder
today, you will find student ministry assignments for our celebration of Mass
to kick off Catholic Schools Week, at 10:00 am on Sunday, Jan. 28th.
Students were scheduled by return receipt of the principal’s letter in last
week’s folder. If your family is planning on being at this Mass, it is not too
late to participate – just send a note in the folder, and we will give your
child a part in Mass.
REMINDER As announced last week, class Valentine’s/Fat
Tuesday parties, are rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 13th at 2:00 pm.
This will allow for the solemn observance of Ash Wednesday.
BISHOP ELECT SHAWN MCKNIGHT’S Ordination and
Installation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6th at St. Joseph
Cathedral, Jefferson City. The Mass will be livestreamed and on cable across
the country. EWTN & Fox 22 will also broadcast from their stations. The
Diocese of JC will livestream as well, and this may be accessed on their
website, www.diojeffcity.org, by
clicking on YouTube icon in upper right corner. The Mass will begin at 2:00 pm
and run through approximately 4:00 pm. We encourage all families to follow this
momentous event for our diocese and Church.
NEXT BOX TOP SUBMISSION will be at the
end of February. Please keep saving Box Tops and send them in before that time.
MENU CHANGE: We will reverse the menu for Jan 30 & 31.
On Tuesday, Jan 30, we will have the cheese pizza meal & on Wednesday, Jan
31, we will have the fried chicken meal. All sack lunch students should find a
form in today’s folder so that they may purchase CSW meals. Please return on
Monday.
ITALIAN FEAST THEMES: All families are
asked to donate items to their child’s classroom basket in preparation for the

DUE TO THE HIGH RISK OF FLU this year, and in
our effort to contain transmission, any student exhibiting signs of the flu,
which include, but is not limited to: fever, chills, nonproductive cough,
sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle and body aches, headache and fatigue,
and in some cases, vomiting & diarrhea, will be sent to the office and
parents called for pick up. IF YOUR CHILD EXHIBITS ANY OF THESE SIGNS AT HOME –
NO MATTER HOW MILD – PLEASE KEEP THEM HOME AS A PRECAUTION. If your child has
the flu, doctors generally recommend that they do not return to school for one
week. We are hearing of schools having to shut down completely because of
widespread flu, and we are hoping that we will not have to do so. Thank you for
helping us keep the flu away!
PLEASE RETURN YOUR FOLDER ON MONDAY!
