Please pray for the Groose family as they adjust and welcome this sweet bundle of joy!

ITALIAN FEAST NEWS: Italian Feast is quickly approaching.  We need each family to help find donations for the Silent Auction in addition the class basket donation you all have made. Please ask business you frequent or if you are crafty, make something.  It all has value to someone!    Thanks in advance for your support of this important fundraiser for our school.  Together we will make the Italian Feast a huge success.  Also, please return any unsold tickets and money to the school office next week.  Work sign up is in today’s folder.

DUE TO THE RECENT SNOW DAYS, SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION ON MONDAY, JANUARY 20TH. THURSDAY, APIRL 17TH (1/2 DAY), AND TUESDAY, APRIL 22ND.

PLAYGROUND BENEFIT: The wonderful Knights of Columbus of our parish will be sponsoring a benefit steak dinner to support the development of a new required fenced-in playground area for the preschool program. This will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15th, serving from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Tickets are available from the school office. The cost is $15 per ticket. There are approximately 250 tickets available. If every school family sold two that would be 100 sold. If every school family sold four, that would take care of most of them. Ask around and let us know how many we can send home for you to sell. Thanks so much for your support!

DRIVERS NEEDED: We would like to send our 4,5,6th graders to the Capitol on Friday, Jan. 24th at noon for the annual Rosary for Life in the rotunda, perhaps along with some site-seeing. If you would be able to help out with driving, please contact the office.

THANKS so much to Emily Schulte, who helped with lice checks this week. We appreciate it!

SODA TABS: The Student Council is collecting soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Please begin saving these for this most worthy cause. You may send them into the office anytime. Thank you!

HEADS UP! Due to the fact that so many of our students will be going to Washington D. C. next week for the March for Life, the ballgames scheduled for Thurs., Jan. 23 have been cancelled. We did not have to forfeit but these games will not be made up. The boys did win their game this week against Clarksburg, with a score of 48-24. Way to go boys!

PRO-LIFE TRIP: Please remember in your prayers those students (and parents) who will be attending the March for Life in Washington D. C. next week. They are: Ethan Adrian, Zachary Eickhoff, Zachary Bond, Rachel Buechter, Ariana Evers, Madison Evers, Noah Evers, Ashley Kauffman, Erin Love, Kalie Massman, Gabby Morff, Makinzie Morgan, Andrew Schulte, and Maggie Morris (alumnus). May the presence of these youth & parents at our national capitol bring about an end to abortion. (Students attending are not considered “absent” from school. They do not have to make up missed assignments but are still held responsible for any tests they miss.)

INCOME from games 1/10: Total income - $19.75 (due to forfeiture of 1st game) Income from games 1/6:  Concessions: 12.00 (plus refs/scorekeeper fees), Gate: 140.00

BOOKFAIR & BREAKFAST:  Due to scheduling conflicts, the book fair breakfast originally scheduled for Feb 23rd has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 2, 2013.
