VIP DAY IS THIS WEEK – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5TH. Students can invite two “Very Important Persons” to attend. We will have Ash Wednesday Mass in the gym at 8:00 am and then move into the cafeteria for refreshments and an activity. As a reminder, Ash Wednesday is a day of abstaining from meat and fasting for Catholics. Because of this, you should plan on the refreshments served after Mass to be a light breakfast. (Fasting allows only one full meal a day and two smaller meals. The two smaller meals should not equal the quantity of the main meal.) We plan on being finished up around 9:45 – 10:00 am. We thank Paige Chapman, Amanda Herigon & Rachel Kempker for coordinating this event through the H & S Association.

PLEASE BE ON TIME for Ash Wednesday Mass. If you arrive after 7:45 am, please use the double gym doors to come directly into the gym and be seated for Mass.

STUDENT SHOWCASE/MEET & GREET: Come one, come all! You are invited and encouraged to share a little time with us ahead of the Home & School meeting on Monday, March 10th. We especially welcome those with new preschoolers and kindergartners, and new families. Stop by to meet with your child’s teacher, find out about enrollment, sign up for “Step Up Day” in late April, and enjoy a light dinner. The “Student Showcase” (student work will be on display) will begin at 5:30 pm. Around approximately 6:00 pm, we will be serving a light dinner (sandwich, chip, soft drinks). Please then stay and join us for our final Home & School meeting for the 2024-25 school year, which will begin at 6:15 pm.

CONGRATULATIONS to EMERY for making her First Reconciliation this week!  Please pray for Emery and all the 2nd graders in our parish who are receiving Sacraments of Initiation this spring.

SERVICE HOURS: Today you are receiving a service hour summary report. We know that many of you have service hours that are not shown on the report. Please take time now to log service hours on your family portal. Remember that all households (between the two parents/guardians) must perform at least 20 hours of service to the school and/or parish each school year. This requirement does not include student service hours, which are performed within the classroom/school day. In lieu of the hours, you may choose to pay out the time @ $10/hr. (Next school year the fee will be $20/hr). Please call Rosie in the school office if you have any questions.

SHOW ME SUDS DELIVERY DATE: Show Me Suds products will be available for pickup on Sunday, March 9th in the gym, 4:00-5:30 pm. Thank you for your continued support of our school and parish youth.

VOLLEYBALL UNIFORMS: We still have a few uniforms out from our volleyball season last fall. Please turn these in this week. You will be charged for any uniform that is not returned.

MADELYN’S BASKETBALL NEWS: Madelyn is happy to report that the PALs team she plays with, St. Joseph Cathedral Spartans, won their first-round game in the CMPALs Playoffs (formerly known as the Catholic Bowl) against Holy Family, with a final score of 27-19. They will play again this Thursday evening, 2/27, @ St. Joe @ 8:00 pm. These notes will be published before we know the results of that game – but we will update you with some hopefully good news next week. Good luck Madelyn & team! We are proud of you!

RICE BOWLS are in today’s folder. These can be used as a great Lenten tool with your family. Inside the Rice Bowl you will find a calendar with daily ideas and reflections. You may return the Rice Bowl after Easter at Mass or send in and we will forward them to the parish office.

WEEKLY DRESS DOWN PASS WINNER(S)! Congratulations to Nolan & Maelyn for winning this week’s drawing! Remember – return your folder (with paperwork complete) by Tuesday to be added to the weekly drawing.
